FCC

Over the past month, being on an internet radio station where the FCC does control what happens, I have been doing a lot of thinking. Why is it that you can't show nudity on TV but at the same time 15% of all programming are violent scenes. By the time the average American child enters elementary, they have seen 8,000 murders and 100,000 acts of violence on TV. That is some sick shit. What is wrong with our society. We are fine with letting our kids watch Barney gets hacked into little pieces but as soon as something like this happens...

...everyone is up in arms. We all are naked under our clothes. IT'S HUMAN! I'd much rather let my kids watch naked people all day than one murder.

It may feel like a lot has changed in the past 2000 years but if you look at how we are entertained and our standards of acceptability, have we really come that far?
