my rants and raves
I'm just going to say it...Coachella does not even look that tight. I feel that aside from unannounced headliners, Goldenvoice has decided to reach out towards a younger more American Apparel oriented crowd. The confirmation of Themselves is tight, but I prefer other anticon. artists exponentially more! They seem to be hitting nails, but missing the head. Crystal Castles? Yeah, maybe three years ago before that awful album came out. The Killers? Ohhh myyyy goodddd, do not tell me they're co-headlining, they should have stayed as the ghost of Coachella past. I would say that the most on point confirmations are Flying Lotus, Peanut Butter Wolf, Drop the Lime, Fleet Foxes, No Age and Noah and the Whale, but oh wait...I've seen all of them for free! Seriously, I've had enough. I've been to the last four Coachellas enthusiastically and with new hopes, but I think that this marks the year of NO MORE BULLSHIT. This is a robbery. They've spent so much effort trying to reunite the Smiths that the entire festival has blown to Warped Tour. It's fine though, because no matter what the lineup is, the experience is what counts and that goes so beyond who is playing.

I guess it's still the sexiest music festival of the year?
